El Tico Beach Cantina in St. Peter – Jersey, Channel Islands is one of those places that offers a great view, nice atmosphere and delicious food. Situated in St.Ouen’s Bay, this restaurant is a popular dining establishment with locals and tourists alike. Four of us decided to have lunch at El Tico, and we were not disappointed. The portions were generous, service was prompt and my Crispy Crumb Calamari Salad was absolutely amazing. Fresh and crispy calamari, served on a bed of greens and not overly spicy Spanish beans, garnished with warm smoky chorizo sausage and cherry tomatoes, accompanied with an Aioli, this salad offered a perfect combination of flavors. My husband was interested in a smaller calamari portion and was happy to find a Crispy Crumb Calamari on the menu. This appetizer came with Aioli and some greens. Although the appetizer size of this dish was much smaller than the salad that I ordered, it was also very tasty. I was surprised by the food quality in this restaurant as I expected it to be more of a burger and fries beach place. This casual dining cantina, from what I heard, is always buzzing with customers who can enjoy their relaxing meal at this beautiful panoramic location, watching the surfers or just enjoying the ocean view. The long tables and wooden benches add to the casual decor of the place. In the warm weather you could enjoy your meal on the back patio (facing the ocean).
We really enjoyed our lunch and would be very happy to go back another time.
